Man breaks skydiving record to raise money for cancer patient

Sienna is a 20-year-old woman from Tennessee currently being treated with chemotherapy and radiation for her recently diagnosed nasopharyngeal carcinoma in Nashville. According to her mother Julie, Sienna has had to withdraw from college this spring, leave her job, and relocate to Nashville for her daily treatments.

Inspired by the extraordinary, a friend of L.I.F.E.’s has partnered up in an attempt to shatter the Tennessee state record for most jumps in 24 hours to help out Sienna and her cause!  On June 13th, 2019 (weather permitting), at an airfield in Tullahoma, TN, US Army Sergeant Travis Hinton will be skydiving non-stop to help benefit Sienna Howe.

Though Travis is now aiming for June 13th, but the exact date will be weather dependent.  In order to successfully jump out of an airplane 300 times in one day, conditions need to be just right.  As one follower puts it, “this is one jump every 4.8 minutes for 24 hours straight?”. To which Travis replied, “Wheels up to wheels up should be right around 4 minutes. We will play with exit altitude, but will jump from no lower than 2000 feet”.

Sienna’s social worker from the cancer center, and Eric’s siblings Lindsey and Mike, all plan to be there.

If you know anyone willing to help sponsor or volunteer for this event, please contact us.

Thank you!
