Pneumoniaaaa

Hello everyone,

I was visiting Eric and his roommate Jason this past weekend.  I stayed at their place Saturday through Tuesday to watch the superbowl, hang out, and take care of a few things up in WI.  Monday evening Eric came and picked up after he got off work and we ate dinner.  He looked perfectly fine, we had a great time.

After we came home, we were all sitting around watching tv, still looked fine.  He left to go to the bathroom, and thought nothing of it.  Until we heard the screams.  Ran over there to see him shivering uncontrollably, and in maximal pain.  I didn’t know what was wrong, wasn’t sure what to do.  He said it was his hip.  He has avascular necrosis in the ball of his femur, and they were going to do a total hip replacement the week he was diagnosed with leukemia again last month, so that all made sense.  But then he began sweating, we took his temperature, and watched it quickly rise from 100.5 to 102 in just a matter of 20 minutes.  We couldn’t figure out what a fever would have to do with the pain in his hip.

We didn’t waste any more time.  I took him into the ER where he was admitted, and he’s been there ever since.  It looks as though he is beginning to make a recovery and should be out soon though.  Read the article he posted today (linked below) for a full update.

Thank you for your continued support, kind messages, and prayers.
