Biopsy Results

This isn’t really an update on Eric.  We’re still waiting for his biopsy results. However, I need to get this out there.  There is someone out there who we have never met, but just happened to run across Eric’s story, and met his mom out in the hallway.  She’s an RN on a different Unit.  I don’t know how to get in contact with her other than writing a blog about it and putting it on the website, as I have no contact information for her.  Kay, as I was walking into Eric’s room I saw a card, and the cutest little 8 pack of diet Mountain Dew.  I was very confused. I went into his room, sat down, opened the card and just cried.  Someone I have never met, from a totally different unit in this hospital, took the time on her way out to just drop off something. The gift card and the Dt. Mountain Dew was perfect.  Kay, I went on a hunt in your unit to find you and found out you work B weeks, so you should be getting an email from someone.  THANK YOU SO MUCH.

Also, as I said, we are waiting for some biopsy results.  The Results may not come until tomorrow.  We requested someone who has done a ton of biopsies on Eric.  They go way back.  Eric just said, “He’s my buddy!”  He came in at 9 am, and got the job done. There’s two ways to do these biopsies.  One way is manually, when they crank a screw like thing into his back.  The other is a drill that gets it done faster. This particular guy always takes the manual way with Eric.  The nurse that was helping said, “why aren’t you using the drill?”  I piped in with “Michael Paul is like Chuck Norris.  He does not need the drill.  He IS the drill.” Got a good laugh out of everyone, including Eric as this procedure was going on.  So, now we wait until we hear the results of this biopsy, and we will let you know then.

I also want to say HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to my parents, Mick and Karin Jaeger. 31 years together! Which is 2 years longer than the other special event happening today, Happy 29th Birthday to Eric’s big brother Mike!
