• Created in honor of Eric McLean, the Leukemia Ironman Fundraiser for Eric (L.I.F.E.) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to cancer survivorship by providing assistance to cancer patients in need, scholarship programs, and donating to cancer research laboratories. We will help draw awareness and contribute towards finding more effective treatments, and one day, a cure.

Volleyball Tournament this Saturday August 22 at the Double Dam Bar

This Saturday, August 22 at 12:00 noon there will be a Volleyball Tournament to benefit L.I.F.E. at the Double Dam Bar in Two Rivers.  There will be a DJ, a raffle, food, drinks, and more!  Please contact Amber Wachowski at This email address is being protected from spambots. Solinsky qualifies for finals at Berlin Worlds on Sunday!

Last year running pros Chris Solinsky and Simon Bairu gave Eric a lot of support while he was fighting his second bout with AML.  And today Chris qualified for the 5,000m finals on Sunday August 23rd at the IAAF World Championships in Berlin. The prelims had a very strong field of elites including Kenenisa Bekele who holds the world record of 12:37.35. Bekele finished with the fastest time of 13:19.77 followed by Matt Tegenkamp (also went to Wisconsin) with a 13:19.87. Solinsky was the only other American to qualify with a time of 13:20.64. August 15, 2009 - Today Milwaukee Brewers Legend Larry Hisle made the drive up all the way up to Two Rivers to see Eric!  He didn't come alone though, he brought with him a Prince Fielder game used bat, a jersey, and a baseball signed by Paul Molitor to Eric.  Larry has been to to the hospital to see Eric countless times, and is one of the most kind and caring individuals that there ever was.  Larry spends much of his time as a mentor for youth in the Milwaukee area, and has become a hero to many people.  Read more
