My heart was so touched by your video, so I looked you up online. I was surprised to discover you are Greek, as I also am. My life has had a death sentence a few times and so, I would like to give you some hope. My mother died of cancer and she faced her death with the hope of life. Our only hope can be from the Lord with Eternal Life. Because of human sin soon after Creation, this life involves suffering. It was not this way from the Beginning, but there is always a consequence for sin with a Holy God. Did you know God has given us clear Words in the Bible for how we can be with Him and live with other believers, as well, forever and ever? Since I am a teacher, I like to use the ABC's to tell others about God's plan of salvation. You can search and read everything yourself in the Bible starting with the book of John which focuses on the love of Jesus and God who offers us forgiveness for our sins. I will give you a short alphabetical summary of the scriptures and what they mean. You are loved by many, but most importantly, by God. Praise Him for what He has given you and be grateful. It seems you have had a fulfilling life and your wife and family are beautiful, and also wonderful examples of the love of God.
Please read to the end of what I will write. This truly is a matter of life and death.
Our physical bodies all will die, however our souls live eternally either in a state of bliss, Heaven, or a place of greater suffering, Hell. God does not want anyone to suffer eternally. He says in His Word, II Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise,...but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
As promised, here are the ABC's:
A:Admit you are a sinner in need of a Saviour. Romans 3:23 says "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God."
B:Believe Jesus is God, that He died on the cross for your sins, and that He rose again. Romans 6:23 says, "For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
C:Confess your sins and repent (turn from the sinful way of life). Romans 10:9 says, "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in thine heart that God hath raised Him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
D:Deny yourself; (Death to yourself and the old way of living, focusing on self.) Galatians 2:20 says, "I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live: yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me." Jesus said in Luke 9:23, "If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow Me." Ephesians 2:8-9 further explains we cannot earn salvation by our good works, "For by grace are ye saved, through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God: not of works lest any man should boast." Acts 16:31 says "Bellieve on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house." John 14:6 "Jesus said unto him, 'I am the Way, the Truth and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me."
Please pray to our Heavenly Father;
Dear Lord Jesus,
I am a sinner in need of a Savior. Will you please forgive me, Jesus, for all my sins? I believe You are God, Jesus, and that You died for my sins and rose again. I now commit my life to You and die to myself to live for You and follow You. Please give me the strength and will to read my Bible and follow what You say to do. Then help me to tell others. Thank You for cleansing my sins and making me whiter than snow. (Isaiah 1:1
Teach me to do Your Will.
In Jesus' Name and Blood,
From the Beginning and the first sins of Adam and Eve, God promised a Saviour to pay for the penalty of sin. Before Jesus, people had to offer animal blood sacrifices (usually an unblemished lamb) to God. Jesus paid the ultimate price with His perfect life...no more sacrifices required! God sent His own Son and Jesus willingly gave His life to save us. This life is not all there is. Our souls will continue to live. I will pray you choose to live for Jesus. The one thief on the cross beside Jesus chose to believe; the other one on the other side did not. Jesus told the believing one:"Verily i say unto you, Today shalt thou be with me in Paradise."
My Greek brother, I send you love, joy, and peace. I hope to meet you someday if not on this earth, in Heaven. Then, we will all be healed and there will be no more suffering! Do not be afraid, only believe. God is telling you the Truth in His Word.
With the love of Christ,
