To a true warrior, Eric McLean, you have fought an unbelievably tough fight for a very long time. You have inspired so many to never give up and to keep fighting, no matter what the odds are. You truly have won. May your courage and indomitable spirit live on in the thousands of people, friends, family, and complete strangers you have inspired.

Love Never Forgets
Dear McLean Family,
I have recently found and followed Eric's Story and my heart breaks for all of you. He is amazing and you are all amazing too. I am so sorry for your loss. I know that he is dancing with God now, free from the pain of this life. He has taken from it the joy and love that each of you gave him. Love never forgets and just as he will always be with you, you will always be with him as well.
In my prayers

Beacon of Light
I first heard of you a little over a week ago when I saw your final video. Since that day, I've been watching your videos on youtube. Your story touched my heart prfoundly. I have a son who is one year younger than you are. At the age of 25, he suddenly became very seriously ill and his organs began to fail. Months in the hospital and dozens of specialists could not find the reason why. Oh how he suffered and it seemed without end. He nearly went blind from this illness. He lost so much weight and at one point a chaplain came in to say that my son was dying. He did go on to recover and his organs healed. Even his vision, most of it, has returned. They think it was a virus which caused this.
Your brown eyes look so much like my sons. Your kind heart reminds me of his. So much that you say on your videos reminds me of my beloved son. And when I look back on those days when he was ill, I have a taste of what you, and what your family are going through now. It breaks my heart and I think of you each day.
Someone once said that he who saves one person has saved the world entire. Eric, your story has inspired more people worldwide than you can imagine. Your story has touched and impacted millions of lives. And in this often otherwise broken old world, you have been, and will always be a beacon of light and hope to so many.
God bless you on this journey. May God's love and grace blanket you in comfort. Mother Teresa often said that those who suffer most are the ones so close to God that they are kissed by God.
My thoughts and prayers are with you, and your family.

Such a Sweet Soul
Erik has such a wonderful, sweet soul. What a good person he is...I am so happy he got to enjoy a lot of things before he got to this point. That makes me smile.
My mother passed away of cancer in February, and Eriks journey and "go through anything headfirst" attitude has touched my heart immensely.
I am so happy he is resting comfortably, and I hope that all of your family can remember all the great memories you have with him...the pain will eventually get less and less, but he will forever be with you guys in more ways than you can imagine.
Give him more hugs than you think you should and use them as a reserve for the future...it is well worth it! I hugged my mom hundreds of "extra" times, and I pull them out of the tank when I need them. :-)
